INDIVIDUAL THERAPY AND MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY
DAVID O. SAENZ, PhD, EdM, LLC
Psychologist, Family Therapy, Marrage Counseling, North Hills, Wexford, Cranberry
Welcome and thanks so much for visiting. Over the years I've developed a few areas of "expertise," specifically, marriage and couples therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, and comprehensive clinical psychological evaluations (including testing and assessment).

Family Therapy: In family counseling I work with defiant children and adolescents, severe misbehavior, truancy, adoption and foster care, Autism Spectrum Disorders, establishing effective discipline strategies, school problems, limit setting that works, symtpms of ADHD, how to support and live with a family member with a severe and persistent mental illness, and how to manage your own stress levels.
Couples/Marriage Counseling: In marriage and couples therapy, much of our work has centered on infidelity, loss of intimacy, unresolved conflict, power struggles, chronic problems that interfere with the marriage, communication issues, a partner whom is emotionally unavailable, divorce prevention, addiction, emotional and physical abuse, and incompatibility. Therapy is designed around teaching couples tools for resolving conflict, expressing emotions in a constructive manner, communicating more effectively, learning to listen, changing destructive behavior patterns, and even arguing in healthier and more productive ways.
Individual Therapy: Areas of focus range from depression and anxiety to alcohol, substance abuse and sexual addictions, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. In therapy you'll develop some new tools, learn to more skillfully use the ones you already own, and practice using them with some guidance and support.
Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations/Assessment/Testing: Psychological assessments or evaluations are conducted for children, adolescents, adults, and for personal injury (psychological injury) cases.
School-wide Behavior Management: Evidence based practices (e.g., Positive Behavioral Support, CHAMPs, Assertive Discipline) are aligned with the school's mission and goals, and tailored for the specific needs of your school. The primary goal is to increase instructional time for all students, from one classroom to school-wide, using the most practical, user friendly, realistic, and effective strategies available.
